Alex Ssengonzi opens his own home to the first 5 vulnerable children in Kasanda Bukuya. No funding, just faith and love. The journey begins.
Word spreads. 15 children are now in the home. First international donors discover the home. School fees paid for the first full term. A small garden is started for food.
The home grows to 25 children. The GoFundMe campaign is launched. All children are enrolled in school. Medical care is provided for the first time to all children.
30 children in the home. Shelter improvements made. First international volunteers visit from the USA. 3 full meals per day become consistent. Donor community grows worldwide.
The home reaches 32 children. 100,000+ meals served since opening. A dedicated professional website is launched. Newsletter brings together a global community of supporters.
210,000+ meals served. 18 school terms funded. 32 children with shelter, food, education and love. With your help, we will secure permanent land and give every child a forever home.
